Job Title | Windows XP Desktop Support Engineer (1st and 2nd Line) Salary | To £22,004 Location | Wolverhampton
This is a 1st and 2nd Line support role for a Microsoft Windows 2000, 2003 and XP environment. Min 2 years’ desktop support experience for XP, MS Exchange, MS Outlook and MS Office is essential. Exposure to SQL Server, VMWare and laptop/mobile computing would be ideal. In addition to taking support calls, you will be encouraged to go deskside across the user community to resolve problems and issues. You will join a growing IT Service Desk team supporting a large user base across a number of remote sites. Experience of multi-site support would be a distinct advantage.

Job Title | Windows 2000/XP, Exchange 2003 Desktop Support Salary | To £17 per hour Location | Wolverhampton
Experience of 1st and 2nd Line support on the following products is essential: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Exchange 5.5, Exchange 2003, Active Directory, IBM Desktops/Laptops, IBM Printers, HP Printers, LAN networking (TCP/IP), MS Office (2000, XP and 2003) and file/print management. Exposure to IBM iSeries, Sharepoint, VM Ware, Veritas Backup Exec V10d and Mitel 3300 series telephone switches would be ideal. Experience of 2nd line support is particularly important as part of your role will to assist a new 1st line team.
You will assist on the Help Desk and also take responsibility for solving the more technical issues across a large and varied user base. A background of working in a multi-site organisation would be ideal.
