Job Title | Windows XP Rollout Engineer Salary | UP to £15 per hour Location | London
Windows XP Rollout Engineer – Central London – To £15 per hour – Immediate Start!! (2 months)
Urgent!! Immediate Start!!
My client is currently embarking on a Windows XP rollout and an experienced XP Rollout Engineer is required urgently. This is a sizeable deployment and you must have experience of:
· Manual installations of XP on existing and new workstations
· Strong knowledge of RIS and reversion of remote Workstation deployments when required
· Installing RAM and BIOS re-configuration
· Windows XP support/ troubleshooting post XP deployment including media installation and basic configuration
The environment is strong Microsoft-focussed and you will work in a small, close-knit team within a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. A flexible approach and strong communication skills will be required

Establish a new 2nd Line Team
My client is building a high-calibre 2nd Line Desktop Support team as a key part of establishing excellent IT service & support levels to a rapidly-growing user base. Experience of 2nd Line support on the following products is essential:
Windows 2000, Windows XP Exchange 5.5, Exchange 2003 MS Office 2003 Active Directory IBM Desktops/Laptops, IBM Printers, HP Printers
Exposure to providing 2nd Line Support for any of the following would be ideal: IBM iSeries, Sharepoint, VM Ware, Veritas Backup Exec V10d and Mitel 3300 series telephone switches
At least 18 months’ experience of 2nd Line Support is particularly important as part of your role will to guide a new 1st Line team. You will take responsibility for solving the more technical issues across a large and varied user community. A background of working in a multi-site organisation would be ideal and exposure to any aspect of mobile computing (PDA, Blackberry, Laptop etc) would be a distinct advantage.
