Job Title | SQL Server 2005 Developer (SSRS) Salary | To £30 per hour Location | Coventry, Warwickshire
My client is a specialist IT services organisation with a specific focus on MI/Data Analysis. Substantial success in this area has created an urgent need for a SQL Server 2005 Developer with strong SSRS skills to play a key role in the development of a variety of SQL Server-based reporting software. The following skill profile is regarded as essential:
- Min 2 years’ experience of SQL Server 2005 software development
- Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Additional skills in SSAS or SSIS
- Significant exposure to the design and development of large MI solutions
You will be joining a fast paced development environment and you will be required to hit the ground running. Any knowledge of ETL tools would be useful. The harnessing of MI with business needs will be a key feature in the development of my client’s portfolio of services.

Job Title | SQL Server DBA (2000 or 2005, MCDBA) Salary | To £40,087 Location | Warwick, Warwickshire
Min 3 years SQL Server 2000/2005 Production DBA experience is essential; an MCDBA/MCITP qualification, ITIL/Service Management skills and SQL Server development exposure are desirable. Knowledge of ProClarity (or other BI tools), .Net, Oracle, MySQL, MS Virtual Server, IIS, PHP or Linux would be ideal. You will be responsible for the full array of DBA duties including design/development of DBA objects, database back-up & restores, set-up and optimisation of SQL databases, database replication and Microsoft clustering. You should have exposure to large-scale, high-performance databases along with data warehousing, MS Analysis Services and T-SQL. My client is fully committed to Training and you will be encouraged to add to you skill profile.

Job Title | Windows 2003 Server Support Engineer (Patches, Remote Data Centre) Salary | To £34,076 Location | Warwick, Warwickshire
Min 5 years’ experience in Windows 2000/ 2003 server support (including patching and updating), a knowledge of high-availability systems and clustering with exposure to IIS, SMTP, RDP and MSMQ are essential for this project-based role. Knowledge of Linux, SQL Server 2000, PHP, network architecture, security, firewalls and blade server environments are desirable. This is a complex IT architecture comprising several hundred servers and exposure to an environment of similar size and complexity will also be required. You will be responsible for patching, updates, technical liaison, support and project implementation (including testing, QA and Production environments). Any exposure to working with remote data centres would be ideal.

Job Title | Windows 2000/2003, UNIX, Network Server Build Engineer Salary | To £35,032 Location | Warwick, Warwickshire
Your IT infrastructure skills must include: Windows 2000/2003, Unix, Linux, network architecture, high-availability systems and clustering, SQL Server 2000 and a basic knowledge of security/firewall fundamentals. Min 5 years’ experience in server build and remote management/deployment is essential. You will implement patches/updates (change control, NetOps, CDN), provide technical support for system performance issues and implement a wide array of new solutions (including operating system and QA responsibilities) according to timescale, budget and technical specification. This is a high-availability environment with several hundred servers so a background in an IT infrastructure of significant size will be required.
